Mark and Yaya in Kluen Cheewit (Waves of Lif)
This is the first part of our recommended 8 must watch Thai dramas you can watch online with English subtitles. Dramas in this list don't necessarily mean they're better than those listed in part 2, 3, and so on.

8 Highly Recommended Thai Dramas

8. Sud Sai Pan (End of the String)

Sud Sai Pan Thai Drama
Synopsis:
A man met and deeply fell in love with a woman named Gandaowasee, whose real name was Gandaomanee. She was only using her twin sister's name to trick the guy. After knowing that the guy was just a son of a poor merchant, Gandaomanee left him.

A year after, he met the real Gandaowasee, who was the total opposite of Gandaomanee as she was quite a virtuous woman. The guy would attempt to pursue her thinking that she was the girl he believed she was.

Gandaowasee would try to avoid him at all cost. But the guy suddenly ended up as an heir to a millionaire and was then set in an arranged marriage with Gandaowasee.

Review:
  • Vill, the female lead, was so good at portraying the bad and the good twins.
  • The chemistry was good!
  • This is a period drama that could piss you off with an annoying antagonist.
  • The plot of the story from start to finish was intriguing.
  • The bad twin had lots flings who, one by one, started coming after the good twin, but then the good always outweighs the bad.

Review:
  • This isn't just a romance drama but also a friendship one.
  • This lakorn is literally hilarious especially on that part when the two girls started competing for the guy's attention.
  • It's easy to watch with only 8 episodes.
  • This is, without a doubt, a really good watch!

6. Koo Za Rot Zab (Spicy Flavor of Love)

Weir and Min in Koo Za Rot Zab

Korn was against it, so as Rose. Worse, Korn mistook their house help as Rose. Rose would deliberately approach him with a different identity prior to their wedding in order to get even with him, who had spoken quite some insults to her and their family.

Review:
  • The chemistry was so natural since it's the Koojin Weir and Min pairing.
  • The story was hilarious, it was entertaining.
  • The thing was that they were more romantic prior to the wedding than after the wedding because of the chaos and all, but they made up for it towards the end of the series.
  • Overall, this was a really great romance drama and comedy Thai series to watch.

5. Jao Sao Jum Yorm (Unwilling Bride)

Review:
  • First thing really was the great chemistry of Mik and Pooklook. Too bad, she switched networks, it would have been nice for her to do another drama with Mik.
  • There were just parts of the plot that were not that appealing, or you could say somewhat annoying.
  • But the romance part was definitely the highlight of this drama, and it was great!
  • This was fun and thrilling at the same time.
  • The humor between the main leads were often double meanings or the like.

Review:
  • The start of the drama was a bit tragic, but it got better as the episodes went on.

Review:
  • This is a top rated and popular drama from OneHD.
  • This is Sean and Esther's first drama together, in which they also became a Koojin (fantasy couple or OTP). Their chemistry was just too good!
  • This is also Esther's first big break after switching networks from Ch3 to GMMOne's OneHD.
  • The story was quite intriguing.
  • The way the romance blossomed in terms of how the two have fallen for each other in the process was actually beautifully put together.

2. Kluen Cheewit (Waves of Life)

Mark and Yaya Kluen Cheewit
Synopsis:

Review:
  • This is Mark and Yaya's second drama together, yet this is more of a success not just in Thailand but all around the globe as well.
  • Most international fans probably got hooked to Thai dramas because of Kluen Cheewit.
  • This is a revenge drama wherein it seemed impossible to make the main leads fall for each other given their circumstance, but then this drama was able to do just that!
  • The chemistry was so lit, it was undeniable, and these two aren't even a Koojin (OTP).
  • The whole plot plus the romance was quite fascinating.
  • There were just annoying characters, though, but this was a great one in general.

1. Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat (Love Destiny)

Pope and Bella in Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat
Synopsis:

But then she wasn't able to dodge the chant that Por Date and his dad made. Because of that, Kadesurang, a smart and bubbly woman from the present time, travelled 300 years back and took over Karakade's body.

Suddenly, Karakade started to be liked by everyone, including her betrothed, Por Date.

Review:
  • This is a hit, top rated, and major success all over Thailand!
  • This is probably Pope and Bella's biggest break to date, although Bella had lots of top rated dramas already.
  • Because of this success, there will be a movie and a part two series which would star most of the cast from the first part.
  • This is literally a hilarious and romantic Thai drama series to watch.
  • Bella was so good in this drama, so as Pope! They deserved this success!
  • This is a must watch!
  • The only con is that it was mostly filled with the country's history, but, overall, this is definitely a remarkable drama to watch!

A Must Watch Hate to Love Enemies to Lovers Thai Drama

10/11/2021

Hate to Love Thai Drama Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai
It is with much excitement that we bring to you another highly recommended must watch hate to love, or enemies to lovers, Thai drama, Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai (From Enemy to the Heart) We have known about this lakorn even before it aired, in fact, we promoted it on our Youtube Channel for the fans to anticipate.

Highly Recommended Enemies to Lovers Lakorn

Hell, we didn't expect it turned out to be an awesome Thai series to watch, like, seriously it was really good. If you're looking for a Thai drama that has that Kluen Cheewit vibe in it, this one's a perfect choice.

The story is different and isn't primarily a revenge drama, yet the degree of hate and unfortunate incidents that led to them hating each other and how they later looked after each other, plus the undeniable chemistry between Mik and Aum, would remind you of Kluen Cheewit.

This Thai drama isn't that old, by the way. It was aired late last year until December 2020.

The Main Leads

The pairing of Mik Thongraya and Aum Patcharapa is probably the most unusual on-screen pairing because of the age gap, and we're not talking about 2, 3, or 5 years. It's way more than that. We love Aum so much that we'd rather not talk much about it.
Mik Thongraya and Aum Patcharapa
Not sure if any actress in her generation could pull off what she's done for this drama. You wouldn't even notice the age gap. And, if you're not really familiar with the actors, you'd think that they're of the same generation.

You could talk about your favorite Thai actresses and all, but Aum is, without a doubt, the Queen of Thai Entertainment. And she's serving her fans with quality dramas time and time again. She has maintained her petite figure and just doesn't seem to age. She's known to look younger than her age, by the way.
Mik Thongraya and Aum Patcharapa
And thank God for Mik's mature look, he's a fit for her on screen. They looked so good together.

And we were taken aback at how lit their chemistry was. Didn't expect that. Goodness, the tension was just... Every time they were together was simply a tease.

The push and pull was fun and wasn't always dramatic. They had quite a number of lowkey funny moments together.

Mik's pairing with Aum is our top favorite, alongside Pooklook with the lakorn, Unwilling Bride. BUT, among all of his dramas we have reviewed up until this point, Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai is our top favorite!

The Synopsis

This Thai drama is pretty much a mystery action thriller with romance in it. The plot is fascinating that it would keep you interested in everything that was going on.

Aum plays as Sophita, a hi-so CEO who manages their furniture company in place of her ailing dad. She's quite a strict no-nonsense boss, but she was mentally disturbed and developed anxiety after the sudden tragic death of her younger sister, Sararin.

Mik plays as Jett, an ex-convict turned hired gunman. His first target was Sophita, who coincidentally was the sister of her late ex-girlfriend, Sararin. He would grab the chance to avenge his misfortunes because of Sophita.
Mik and Aum Jark From Enemy to the Heart
Sophita was strongly against her sister's relationship with Jett. She knew he was an ex-con and thought he was only with Rin for money. She forced Rin to break up with him. And then Jett went through a lot of unfortunate incidents, which he blamed it all on Sophita.

If it weren't for her, Jett believed that Rin would still be alive. He blamed her for Rin's death. But, Sophita equally hated him because she firmly believed that he was the reason why Rin died with Rin's diary as her proof.

But, in the process, Jett would end up keeping her alive in order to unravel the truth behind Rin's death, and an unexpected romance would blossom as he and Sophita would search for the truth.

Drama Review

  • Story: 9.8
  • Chemistry: 10
Positive
  • The whole narrative of the lakorn was quite compelling, keeping you at the edge of your seat!
  • It wasn't much of an action thriller as you'd expect it to be. The action scenes were more on the first few and last episodes, and some in between.
  • The chase was spot on right from the get-go.
  • The story turned out different as you'd expect it to be. They tried so hard not to make it look too predictable.
  • The backstories were pretty fascinating.
  • How the plot was thickened from the root cause was absolutely outstanding!
  • They added light and fun moments despite this being a dramatic lakorn.
  • The romance was beautiful. The kissing scenes were mostly legit and not mere camera-angled.
  • The chemistry was lit! The sexual tension was there for the most part when the main leads were together.

Negative
  • At some point, there were flashbacks that were too repetitive, although it did make sense why they had to do it. But if you're watching straight, it just becomes too repetitive.
  • They were milking the resolution of the conflicts. It could have ended 2 episodes earlier from the total 19. But, the beauty in it was that you'd get to see the main leads as a couple, plus, they kept the story interesting, so...

Where to Watch

A Hit Top Rated Contract Marriage Thai Drama to Watch

Contract forced Marriage Thai Drama Leh Ratree
Contract Marriage romance Thai drama is probably one of the most popular genres that most international fans are into. Although it's already 2021, the earlier marriage dramas seem to have the more intriguing storylines than those of the recent ones.

In fact, the recent ones, if not remakes, have taken ideas from older marriage Lakorns. We like to stress that out because the top rated hit contract marriage Thai drama we'll talk about is One31's 2015 series, Leh Ratree (A Woman's Trickery).

A Must Watch Contract Marriage Thai Drama

There's no other reason why Leh Ratree is up at the top of our list than it to be a must watch with its intriguing plot, as well as the undeniable chemistry of the main leads.

It is a story of two individuals who lived in completely different worlds, but their loves got entangled because of someone's irresponsibility and selfish desires.

Synopsis

Sake, played by Sean Jindachot, is a President of a company.  He's got a younger sister, but he was expected to bear their family's next heir. He's already married to a woman whom he was so in love with. But his mom was skeptical about her.

His mom urged them them to bear a child already, but the woman kept on postponing it. But it later turned out that she couldn't bear a child.
Leh Ratree Sean and Esther SeanEst
On the other hand, Kate, played by Esther Supreeleela, is a bright 18-year old who's already planning to live a better future with her childhood friend turned boyfriend. But her hopes came crushing down when his dad got into a huge debt.

His dad, an employee in Sake's company, got busted for embezzling the company's money. Sake was determined to put him behind bars, but his dad suddenly offered her daughter, Kate, to bear the heir they wanted.

The Main Leads

On top of the fascinating and intriguing plot, the undeniable chemistry of Esther and Sean made this marriage drama even more appealing to watch. This drama made them a Koojin, or what they call as OTP (one true pair) or fantasy couple.

This Lakorn is Esther's first break back then. She started her career with Ch3 and transferred to GMM with Leh Ratree as her first drama.
Sean and Esther SeanEst
The audience loved this Thai drama so much that it became popular. Sean and Esther did 2 more dramas together, but then something allegedly happened during Ngao Asoke, their 3rd last drama together.

Esther was paired with Push, her then new Koojin. She and Sean never paired again on-screen. In our opinion, Sean is definitely Esther's best on-screen partner.

Review

Leh Ratree is actually a mix of both contract and forced marriage. Kate and her family were pretty much forced to deal with Sake's family as they were left with no choice. Sake's family only wanted for her to bear the child and then she'd be free after.

For your sake, we'll give you both positive and negative reviews of this drama.

Positive
  • Fascinating plot.
  • Superb chemistry of the main leads.
  • It was lovely how you wouldn't even notice that the two were falling in love with each other already. Sake was a bit obvious, but Kate wasn't.
  • And when they did, it was literally out there in the open, like they had nothing to hide.
  • Heart-wrenching storyline with Kate giving up on her dreams and her beloved boyfriend, with him still hoping to get her back after the contract.
  • Interesting storyline of the second leads.
  • Pretty good balance between the romance and the battle between the good and the bad.
  • Definitely has a great rewatch value.

Negative
  • Couldn't really think of one.
  • If you feel like there were a bit of a downside to the whole drama, leave your comments below!

Kluen Cheewit Gets You Hooked To Thai Dramas

Mark and Yaya Kluen Cheewit Revenge Thai Drama
Most international fans have been introduced to Thai dramas because of Mark and Yaya's popular series, Kluen Cheewit or Waves of Life. It took the global fans by storm. More and more netizens are getting hooked into watching Thai dramas.

In Thailand, they call it Lakorn (drama). In fact, more online drama list streaming sites are uploading Thai Lakorns. And fans are now finding the subbers' websites as well.

Back in 2017 and earlier, you won’t find a lot of lakorns in most streaming sites. There were mostly Chinese (Cdramas), Taiwanese, or Korean Dramas (Kdramas), and the like.

Facebook Videos

It all started with this interesting video clip on Facebook. It was a scene from the Thai drama series, Kluen Cheewit. The first thing you'd noticed was the visuals of the actor, Mark Prin, and the actress, Yaya Sperbund. Both were so good looking.
Picture
Their chemistry was so lit. That particular scene was interestingly thought provoking as well. The guy broke into the girl’s condo, to her surprise. She was like, “how the heck did this guy know my password?” She was trying to keep her distance from him, but he kept on moving close to her. There was definitely that tension right there.

Thank God for the comment section. That's where you'd usually find the details, right?

Synopsis of the Drama

Kluen Cheewit is a revenge Thai Drama. The female lead, Jeerawat, played by Thai superstar, Urassaya "Yaya" Sperbund, is a famous up-and-coming actress. She was often the envy of women in her circle.
Picture
With her stunning beauty, her stepdad lusted for her and attempted to drug her. But then she was able to escape, driving off with her car. As the drug took its toll in her body, she started to get dizzy and accidently hit a young woman.
Picture
The young woman died. Now her fiancé, who happened to be a lawyer, played by Mark Prin, would come after her to make her pay.

Intriguing Plot

Kluen Cheewit is perfect for starters. If you're new to Thai drama series, this lakorn will get you hooked. The plotline is so intriguing, like how could a man fall for the woman who caused his fianceé's death? Yes, it was an accident, but the girl still died with her in the picture.

You kind of think how they would pull the romance off that it wouldn't look forced or too fictional. The amazing part was that they did pull it off! The transition felt so natural in a way that you would want Jee and Sathit to end up together.

This series is actually based on a novel.

Drama Review

  • Story: 9
  • Chemistry: 10
Positive:
  • Very intriguing or interesting plot.
  • Visually appealing main leads.
  • The chemistry of Yaya and Mark is simply undeniable. So lit!
  • More than the plot, the tension between Mark and Yaya alone could catch the viewers' attention.
  • The climax was remarkable.
  • This is something you can re-watch.
Negative:
  • The lines of the characters were often too long.
  • Sometimes the conversations ran in circles, especially on the part of the stubborn director's wife. You'd understand if you'd watch.
  • Cat fights in Thai dramas could get really physical, the slapping, shouting, and all.
  • Makeup. It's not like it's bad. But if you're new to lakorns, you might notice heavy makeups. Even when the characters just woke up, the makeup is already well put together. LOL!

Have you watched Kluen Cheewit already? What are your thoughts about it? Leave your feedback in the comment section.

This is just one of the many popular and top rated Thai dramas. If you're looking for Lakorns similar to Kluen Cheewit, check our recommended revenge dramas for a quick reference. Also, SUBSCRIBE to us on Youtube now at G- Drama TV and Entertainment.
