Review:
  • First half of the series was straight up hilarious!
  • The second half of the series was dramatic and heart-warming at the same time.
  • The children had different life and romance stories.
  • Our pick for best couple would be the eldest daughter and the Company Director, who’s also the son of the CEO.

Little did they know, his daughter was having a tough time with her husband’s family and was on the verge of getting a divorce.

Review:
  • Although it had its dramatic moments, this was a light drama for the most part.
  • The children had different love stories, except for some who didn’t have lovelines.
  • The best storylines, romance or not, are those of the reunited couple, and the second daughter and the doctor.
  • The chemistry between the doctor and the second daughter was legit!
  • Mi-Yeon's character was so admirable.

Review:
  • This is another light family Kdrama with interesting storylines of the children.
  • This one's pretty close to My Father is Strange, not just on the format but on the fascinating lovelines.
  • It's hard to pick a favourite couple as most were interesting in their own ways.
  • The beautiful backstory of their dad makes this drama so heart-warming to watch.

3. My Only One

Review:
  • This got a well-balanced drama and comedy in it.
  • Although it started a bit dramatic, things lightened up in the succeeding episodes, especially after the female lead moved on with her life.
  • The drama is actually within the ranged of light to heavy drama, though it was light for the most part.
  • There were no toxic conflicts like purposely getting someone killed or the like.
  • The romance stories were light, fun, and quite romantic.
  • Aside from the main couple, we also loved two other couples in this drama. Look forward to them!
  • The storyline about the grandma pretty much brought them together, which was really heart-warming and fun to watch!

2. Five Enough

Five Enough Family KDrama

The two would meet at work when the single mom had to retire from being a fulltime mom to a working mom in order to support her children. And then romance would start to blossom as their lives get entangled.

Review:
  • This is another hilarious Family Kdrama!
  • The main female lead was so comic and the main male lead was so adorable.
  • There are other romance storylines like the love stories of their younger siblings.
  • While the main couple was quite entertaining, the romantic comedy storyline of Shin Hye-Sun and Sung Hoon is something to look forward to.

1. My Father is Strange

Year: 2017
Episodes: 52
Genre: Light Drama, Comedy, Romance
Where to Watch: Youtube, Netflix
My Father is Strange
Synopsis:
An ex-convict's identity got switched with his bestfriend. In his attempt to start a new life, he took his friend's identity. He got married and had four children.

The eldest son, who kept on failing his civil service exam, helped them run their diner. The eldest daughter is a smartass lawyer. The third child had trouble finding a stable job. And the youngest, the nosy one, is a yoga instructor.

One day, an idol turned actor returned to the country to find his estrange dad. He mistook the ex-convict man as his dad as he took his dad's identity.

Review:
  • My father is Strange is so entertaining from start to finish.
  • It's literally hilarious, heart-warming, and romantic all at the same time.
  • This one's mostly light drama.
  • All of the romantic storylines were fascinating.
  • Our favourite romance stories would probably be that of the lawyer sister and her younger sister (the third child).
  • The most fun couple is the lawyer sister and her beau, and the most romantic couple is the third child and her love interest.
  • The different characters of the children, from the eldest, middle, to the youngest, were pretty much relatable. LOL!

Mark Prin and taew Natapohn Game Lah Torrachon (Game of Outlaws)
Mark Prin and Taew Natapohn are back as a couple on the small screen for their new Thai drama, Game Lah Torrachon or Game of Outlaws. This lakorn is set to premiere on October 28, 2020.

Mark Prin and Taew Natapohn in a New Lakorn

Game Lah Torrachon is Mark and Taew's second lakorn together since 2017. Their first drama together was a period drama, Rak Nakara (Tales of the Two Cities), alongside Mew Nitta.

It had an unconventional sad ending according to others who have watched it. But, we haven't really checked it out until now. We probably will in the future.

Back to their new Thai Drama, Game of Outlaws, it is an action romance thriller about two sisters who seemed to be on the opposite sides of the law. And then a handsome cop would get in between them not only in the matter of the law but love as well.

Where to Watch

This new and upcoming action thriller Thai series will air on Ch3 every Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:30PM, and will also be available on Netflix presumably with English subtitles.

More and more new (2021) Ch3 Thai dramas are made available on Netflix: James and Mew's Duang Tah Tee Sarm (I See Dead People), Bella Ranee Campen's Dare to Love, and now Mark and Taew's Game Lah Torrachon.

Keep it coming, Ch3!
The fans are definitely loving it! If you don't have any Netflix subscription, you can still watch it online for free. Ch3 dramas are always readily available with Eng subs online.

A Must Watch Hate to Love Enemies to Lovers Thai Drama

Hate to Love Thai Drama Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai
It is with much excitement that we bring to you another highly recommended must watch hate to love, or enemies to lovers, Thai drama, Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai (From Enemy to the Heart) We have known about this lakorn even before it aired, in fact, we promoted it on our Youtube Channel for the fans to anticipate.

Highly Recommended Enemies to Lovers Lakorn

Hell, we didn't expect it turned out to be an awesome Thai series to watch, like, seriously it was really good. If you're looking for a Thai drama that has that Kluen Cheewit vibe in it, this one's a perfect choice.

The story is different and isn't primarily a revenge drama, yet the degree of hate and unfortunate incidents that led to them hating each other and how they later looked after each other, plus the undeniable chemistry between Mik and Aum, would remind you of Kluen Cheewit.

This Thai drama isn't that old, by the way. It was aired late last year until December 2020.

The Main Leads

The pairing of Mik Thongraya and Aum Patcharapa is probably the most unusual on-screen pairing because of the age gap, and we're not talking about 2, 3, or 5 years. It's way more than that. We love Aum so much that we'd rather not talk much about it.
Mik Thongraya and Aum Patcharapa
Not sure if any actress in her generation could pull off what she's done for this drama. You wouldn't even notice the age gap. And, if you're not really familiar with the actors, you'd think that they're of the same generation.

You could talk about your favorite Thai actresses and all, but Aum is, without a doubt, the Queen of Thai Entertainment. And she's serving her fans with quality dramas time and time again. She has maintained her petite figure and just doesn't seem to age. She's known to look younger than her age, by the way.
Mik Thongraya and Aum Patcharapa
And thank God for Mik's mature look, he's a fit for her on screen. They looked so good together.

And we were taken aback at how lit their chemistry was. Didn't expect that. Goodness, the tension was just... Every time they were together was simply a tease.

The push and pull was fun and wasn't always dramatic. They had quite a number of lowkey funny moments together.

Mik's pairing with Aum is our top favorite, alongside Pooklook with the lakorn, Unwilling Bride. BUT, among all of his dramas we have reviewed up until this point, Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai is our top favorite!

The Synopsis

This Thai drama is pretty much a mystery action thriller with romance in it. The plot is fascinating that it would keep you interested in everything that was going on.

Aum plays as Sophita, a hi-so CEO who manages their furniture company in place of her ailing dad. She's quite a strict no-nonsense boss, but she was mentally disturbed and developed anxiety after the sudden tragic death of her younger sister, Sararin.

Mik plays as Jett, an ex-convict turned hired gunman. His first target was Sophita, who coincidentally was the sister of her late ex-girlfriend, Sararin. He would grab the chance to avenge his misfortunes because of Sophita.
Mik and Aum Jark From Enemy to the Heart
Sophita was strongly against her sister's relationship with Jett. She knew he was an ex-con and thought he was only with Rin for money. She forced Rin to break up with him. And then Jett went through a lot of unfortunate incidents, which he blamed it all on Sophita.

If it weren't for her, Jett believed that Rin would still be alive. He blamed her for Rin's death. But, Sophita equally hated him because she firmly believed that he was the reason why Rin died with Rin's diary as her proof.

But, in the process, Jett would end up keeping her alive in order to unravel the truth behind Rin's death, and an unexpected romance would blossom as he and Sophita would search for the truth.

Drama Review

  • Story: 9.8
  • Chemistry: 10
Positive
  • The whole narrative of the lakorn was quite compelling, keeping you at the edge of your seat!
  • It wasn't much of an action thriller as you'd expect it to be. The action scenes were more on the first few and last episodes, and some in between.
  • The chase was spot on right from the get-go.
  • The story turned out different as you'd expect it to be. They tried so hard not to make it look too predictable.
  • The backstories were pretty fascinating.
  • How the plot was thickened from the root cause was absolutely outstanding!
  • They added light and fun moments despite this being a dramatic lakorn.
  • The romance was beautiful. The kissing scenes were mostly legit and not mere camera-angled.
  • The chemistry was lit! The sexual tension was there for the most part when the main leads were together.

Negative
  • At some point, there were flashbacks that were too repetitive, although it did make sense why they had to do it. But if you're watching straight, it just becomes too repetitive.
  • They were milking the resolution of the conflicts. It could have ended 2 episodes earlier from the total 19. But, the beauty in it was that you'd get to see the main leads as a couple, plus, they kept the story interesting, so...

Where to Watch

This drama is a Ch7 lakorn produced by Mummai Production. Ch7 Thai dramas aren't readily available with English subtitles as compared to the others, but, thank God for independent subbers that this drama is made available with English subs.

This is subbed my Nekomeowmeow. You can watch this drama here.
Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai is, without a doubt, a highly recommended must watch hate to love, or enemies to lovers, Thai drama you shouldn't miss. For more recommended Thai drama series you can watch online with English subs, check our Thai Drama menu or browse through the submenus for the different lakorn categories.
